Principle 3: Mind Renewal

My mind must constantly be "renewed" by the Word of God. This keeps me from fulfilling the pleasures of my flesh and avoid the ways of the world.

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Principle 4:  Taming/Crucifying the Flesh

My flesh must “die” in order to live a “Spirit-Filled” life, please God, and be obedient.  The flesh always lusts (wants to go opposite of) the Spirit.  Fasting helps crucify the flesh!!!!

Galatians 5:19-21 & 24
¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:  adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, ²¹ envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

 

Principle 6: I must possess integrity in order to please God. 

This means that whatever I commit to do or say that I am going to do, I must do it in order to live a victorious life!!!!

Principle 12: Keeping Your Word/Vows

Scripture:  Numbers 30:2:  "If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall  not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth."

 Your words are very powerful!!! Everything that you have committed to do, you must do it according to the word.  God does not expect Christians to say they are going to do something and do something completely opposite, or not do it at all.  God can only trust us to the extent that others can trust us.  You made a vow to God's ministry because God purposed you to, Des'Moiselle, thus you must continue your vow no matter the cost, the sacrifice, the time, your age, etc.  Unfulfilled vows or words equals unfulfilled blessings!!!!

Principle 16: I've been purposed by God, and that's "My Final Answer"

Scripture:  Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

God creates everyone and everything with a God given and God ordained purpose on this Earth.  He created you to do something specific as it relates to the Kingdom of God.  It is up to YOU to find out why you are on this Earth and what I am supposed to be doing.  This comes through much study of the word, fellowshipping with the Lord, and prayer.

Principle 17: Fear Cometh By Hearing, and Hearing By the Words of the Devil

Scripture:  2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of ear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind."

Fear is of the devil!!!  It is the number one weapon of the enemy.  Fear is the direct opposite of Faith, and it is used to stop the believer in his or her tracks.

Fear opens the door for demons to enter.  Fear keeps the believer from fulfilling his or her divine purpose.  Fear steals, kills, and destroys the believer.

Anytime a believer operates in fear, they can expect absolutely NOTHING from the Lord!!!  Everything from the Lord is delivered through Faith, and everything from the devil is delivered through Fear!!! Rebuke the Spirit of Fear from your life and rise up in Faith!!!
